A steering stabilizer is essentially a shock absorber for your steering system. They are recommended for all vehicles and HIGHLY recommended for vehicles with over-sized tires and/or lift kits to help prevent the steering wheel from being jerked out of your hands in rough terrain or when a hazard is struck by the front wheels (on some trucks, the stabilizer is located behind the axle and is a prime location to get damage from rocks and other obstacles while off-roading).
Depending on your Land Rover, you will either be installing a new steering stabilizer, relocating an existing stabilizer, or installing the stabilizer to fit on a new drag link and/or tie rod assemblies.
When ordering, please specify the type of drag link/tie rod assembly on your vehicle. If it is not the RTE HD Drag Link and Tie Rod Assembly, we will need to get the diameter of the link for your truck to ensure that we send you the correct collar. It is NOT required to have the RTE setup. Our kit has been designed to fit any diameter link.
